Medical School: graduate of an AMA/AOA approved medical/osteopathic school

Flex: accepted (distinction between old and new exams: Old-must have obtained a weighted average of 75 of better. New-must have obtained a score of 75 or better on each component.) From the time applicant sits for Part 1 until the time he/she passes all parts cannot exceed 7 years.

Permanent:
When the file is 100%, the file must go to a Board meeting and Licensing Committee meeting. Deadline to have file complete is the 1st Wednesday of the month. The Board meets on the 3rd Wednesday, and the Licensing Committee meets on the 4th Wednesday. Number will be issued the day the Licensing Committee meets, provided that the registration fee has been paid. Applicant can obtain license number by telephone after 2:00 p.m. An interview may be required if there is derogatory information. Effective February 1996, board will only speak with applicant.

Permanent: $175 + $75 on completion. $250 total
